Walk of Champions
Our group’s major annual fundraiser, the Walk of Champions, has raised over $1.2 million for myeloma research since its launch in 2009.
All proceeds go directly to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre in London, supporting clinical trials for new myeloma drug therapies. These trials offer a lifeline to patients who have exhausted standard treatments, providing access to emerging drugs that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable in Canada.
Treatments like Velcade, Revlimid, and Pomalyst—once clinical trials themselves—are now changing lives, thanks in part to the generosity of our community.

Support Our Local Group
The London & District Myeloma Support Group is a volunteer-led organization that relies on donations to operate. We are not a registered charity, so we cannot issue tax receipts. However, we keep expenses minimal and maintain full financial transparency—our accounts are available upon request.
Suggested Annual Membership Donation: $25 per family (voluntary)

In Honour or In Memory
If you'd like to donate in memory of a loved one, as a thank-you, or in honour of someone special, we recommend contributing directly to Myeloma Research via the London Health Sciences Foundation.
Important: To ensure your donation goes to myeloma research, clearly indicate “Myeloma Research” in the memo field of your cheque or donation documentation.
